The Evolution of Bathroom Design

Flush device in toilets was probably one of the most significant inventions in the 19th century. It was patented by an Englishman in 1891 with a siphoning valve design. The design was a remodeled version of the toilet flush used in the English royal palace. After World War I, the invention reached the US. Since then, the use of toilet flushes became widespread across countries.
Public and private bathrooms are built with various designs and styles. The simple toilet spaces during the classical Victorian era have been converted adorned with colored tiles, scented candles, and fashionable containers. Nowadays, modern bathrooms are characterized by glass doors, showers, and bath tubs.
The art of designing bathrooms began in the late 19th century. Bathroom remodeling became rampant in the communities of England after the modern sewer system was developed. During those times, households built private bathrooms with toilet flush devices in their houses. Thus, communal bath and toilet areas were used less frequently.
